Funding Priorities
Trustees welcome proposals from
small to middle-scale arts organisations in
London, which reflect the vital and unique role of
the Arts to provide an independent space for
inter-subjective encounter, and which prioritise the free
interplay of ideas and objects as opposed to `usefulness’.
Projects which are eligible for consideration include
experimental but conceptually accessible new work which:
(a) crosses and merges art forms, (b) is site-specific,
(c) showcases emerging practices or current enquiries,
(d) develops new models of production and presentation,
(e) involves new media and new technology e.g. locative
media, virtual environments, mobile technologies
and wireless networks, (f) encourages interactivity and
explores the space that exists between audiences and
rt forms, between the art forms and
between art and other disciplines.
Feeling Excluded?
The following areas are
unlikely to be supported:
(a) projects which describe their benefit in terms of
`Cultural Diversity’ and `Social Inclusion’,
(b) community arts projects,
(c) education and outreach programmes,
(d) heritage and conservation,
(e) capital campaigns for buildings and other premises,
(f) acquisition of works,
(g) endowment fund-raising campaigns and
(h) general appeals.
Moose – no matter how creative – are also excluded
from applying. Sorry.
